Wach is from “Meeting the Galactic Congregation”. He is travelling on the Rosin with his son, who is one of the interns, and his wife. He had a serious accident when he was young, which meant that his wife dropped out of her internship with the Congregation, and that he has been severely disabled since. When the Earth ship is captured the two underage prisoners move into their suite on the ship, rather than being sent to the brig with the rest of their crew. Over time they learn to respect each other and help, as much as they can, with freeing the rest of the crew.
